Standing up at your desk all day is a new experience for some of us. Maybe we're not ready to fully throw ourselves into the standing desk lifestyle. Maybe we really want to be able to stand at our desks but we had an injury that keeps us off our feet. Maybe your significant other wants you to start standing up more and you've agreed to start.
However you come to the standing desk family, we're happy to have you. If you're thinking of joining up but you haven't picked a desk yet, let me stop you there: here's some of our favorites.
Now that that's out of the way, we can talk about how you don't actually have to stand at a desk. There's a reason they're called sit-stand desks--you don't have to stand at it except when you really want to. We love sitting down, too, which is why we offer a chair.
If you don't want to fully commit to a sit-stand desk just yet, you might like to ease into it a little more slowly. Don't just stack some empty boxes and put your computer on top--try a sit-stand converter.
